  1. Green Bean Casserole

  2. 3 pkg ( 9 ounce) frozen French style green beans

  3. 1 1/2 cups water

  4. 1 1/2 tsp salt

  5. 5 ounce can sliced water chestnuts, drained

  6. 2 cans cream of celery soup

  7. 1/8 tsp pepper

  8. 1/2 cup whole milk

  9. 2 cans French fried onions rings

  10. Combine water, beans and salt. Bring to a quick boil. Reduce heat

  11. until it has thawed and slightly crisp. **About 4 minutes** Drain

  12. them. In a 2 quart casserole dish, layer the beans and chestnuts.

  13. Next, mix the milk and soup into a separate bowl. Add pepper. Pour

  14. 350* for 25 minutes.

  15. Remove from oven and top with the onion rings and bake again until

  16. they are a golden brown.
