  1. 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce (not paste)

  2. 1 or 2 (16 oz.) cans beans - kidney, cannelloni, garbanzo, whatever your kids like

  3. 1 lb. pasta - shells are good because they "cup" and catch the beans

  4. Olive oil

  5. Garlic

  6. Diced vegetables

  1. Saute couple of cloves garlic in a bit of olive oil.

  2. Add tomato sauce and beans and simmer while the pasta cooks. Add more liquid if necessary.

  3. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta al dente. Drain pasta and mix with the sauce. Serve with grated cheese. Serves 6 to 8.
