  2. Sardine - 1/2 kilo

  4. Onion - 1

  5. Green Chili - 3

  6. Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp

  7. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp

  8. Coriander Powder - 1 tsp

  9. Ginger - 1 piece

  10. Garlic - 8

  11. Vinegar - 1 dessertspoon

  12. Salt - As required

  13. Coconut Milk - 1/2 cup

  14. Procedure:

  15. Cut and clean mathi (score on both sides). In a pan, heat oil. Add sliced onion, green chilli, ginger, garlic and saut well. To this add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt, vinegar and tomato slices. Saute well till tomatoes are done. Add water as required and mathi pieces and cook until done. When the gravy becomes thick, add coconut milk and stir.
