  1. 8 slices bread or toast

  2. 1/4 cup soft butter

  3. 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

  4. 6 egg s, slightly beaten

  7. 1 tsp salt

  8. 1/4 tsp dry mustard

  9. 8 slices of cooked and crumbled bacon or sausage

  1. Butter bread slices, quarter each slice. Alternate layers of bread and cheese with crumbled meat in 11 X 7 inch baking dish, end with cheese on top.

  2. Mix eggs, milk and seasoning, pour on top of layers. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Uncover and bake at 325 for one hour. Let stand a few minutes and cut into squares. Serve with hash browns and bagels if desired.
