    3. 1/2 cup sugar

    4. 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

    5. 1 teaspoon lemon juice

    6. 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon rind

    7. 1 cup cream

    8. 2 tablespoons powdered sugar Gelatine Pastry

    1. Instructions Simmer apples and lemon rind in the water until dry. Add sugar, lemon juice, and cream. Turn into a pastry crust and bake until set. Make a meringue of whipped cream, vegetable gelatine, and powdered sugar according to the gelatine's instructions. Cover the pie with this. Tart apples are best used for this pie. .
