  1. 2 cups 474ml Warm water

  2. 2 Yeast

  3. 1/2 cup 99g / 3 1/2oz Sugar

  4. 1 1/2 teaspoons 7 1/2ml Salt

  5. 1 Egg

  6. 1/4 cup 49g / 1.7oz Margarine - melted and cooled

  7. 6 1/2 cups 406g / 14oz Flour Runza Filling

  8. 2 lbs 908g / 32oz Hamburger

  9. 1/2 cup 31g / 1.1oz Onion - chopped

  10. 3 1/2 cups 829ml Cabbage - shredded

  11. 1/4 cup 59ml Water

  12. 1 teaspoon 5ml Salt

  13. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Pepper

  14. 1 Tabasco sauce

  1. Recipe Instructions Dough: Mix water, yeast, sugar and salt; stir until dissolved. Add egg and margarine. Stir in flour. Put in tight bowl and refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Roll dough into oblong shape and cut into squares. Put in hamburger mixture. Pull up 4 sides and press edges together. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake 20 minutes in a 350F oven. Runza Filling: Brown hamburger and onion; drain off excess. Add shredded cabbage, seasonings and water. Simmer 15 minutes. Cool completely before putting in dough.
