  2. 1 sm onion , coarsely chopped

  3. 4 T butter

  4. 2 c chicken broth

  5. 1/4 c Marsala wine

  6. 4 T flour

  7. 6 T butter

  8. 1 1/2 c half and half

  9. 1 c sour cream salt and pepper to taste

  1. Heat 4 T of butter in heavy saucepan. Add chopped onion and sliced mushrooms and cook covered on low heat for 10 minutes. Add Marsala wine and broth. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Melt 6 T of butter in a small pan. Add flour and whisk to blend. Add half and half and whisk until thickened. Off heat, add 1 c sour cream. Add this mixture to your soup base. Stir to blend.
