  1. 10-12 tart apple s (I like Jonathans best), peeled and thinly sliced

  2. 3/4 cup sugar

  3. 1 tsp cinnamon

  4. 2 Tbsp flour

  5. 2 Tbsp melted butter (I don't think I have ever added this - but my mom does.)

  6. 2 pie crust s, I use Pillsbury

  1. Place one crust in pie plate. In large bowl, stir sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon and flour. Pour into pie plate. If you want to add the melted butter, pour it on apples. Top with crust. Cut a couple of slits in crust to vent steam.

  2. Bake at 425 and then 375 for a total of 45 minutes or until crust is golden brown and apples are fork tender. You may need to cover the edges of the crust with foil for part of the baking time to prevent them from getting too brown.
