  1. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Green beans - trimmed

  2. 1 tablespoon 15ml Olive oil

  3. 1 tablespoon 15ml Grated orange peel

  4. 2 teaspoons 10ml Grated lemon peel

  5. 2 Garlic cloves - minced

  6. 1/4 cup 59ml Canned low-salt chicken broth

  7. 2 tablespoons 30ml Butter - (1/4 stick)

  8. Salt - to taste

  9. Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste

  1. Cook beans in large pot of boiling salted water until crisp-tender, about 4 minutes. Drain well.

  2. Heat oil in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat. Add orange peel, lemon peel, and garlic and stir 1 minute. Add broth and simmer 1 minute. Add butter and beans. Toss until beans are heated through and sauce coats beans, about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and serve.

  3. This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
