  1. 2 cans (about 7 ounces each) white tuna

  2. 2 tablespoons butter

  3. 3 tablespoons flour

  4. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  5. 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  6. 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme, crumbled

  7. 1 1/2 cups milk

  8. 1/4 cup finely chopped celery

  9. 1 1/2 cups frozen cut green beans, cooked (about 10 ounces)

  10. buttered bread crumbs for topping, optional

  1. Drain tuna and break up. Heat butter in a saucepan; stir in flour and seasonings. Gradually add milk. Cook, stirring, until thickened. Add tuna and vegetables; mix well. Pour mixture into a shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish. If desired, top with buttered bread crumbs. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
