  6. 1 Turnip or Parsley Root , chopped

  7. 3 to 4 Carrots , chopped

  8. Sea Salt , to taste

  9. White Pepper , to taste

  10. 1 Fresh Parsley Sprig

  11. 1 Fresh Dill Sprig

  1. There's controversy in every family about the texture of these. We like them firm, not fluffy. Prep: 30 minutes; Chill: 1 hour 20 minutes; Cook: 20 minutes.

This recipe goes with Bertha's Matzo Ball Soup Yield: Makes 19 matzo balls Ingredients 4 large eggs, lightly beaten 1 cup vegetable oil 1 teaspoon salt Freshly ground pepper 2 cups matzo meal Preparation 1. Combine first 4 ingredients and 1/4 cup cold water in medium bowl. Add matzo meal, and mix thoroughly. Chill 1 hour.
