  1. 3 c fresh basil , stems removed

  2. 1/3 c pine nut s, toasted

  3. 2 large garlic cloves

  4. 1/2 c freshly grated Parm-Reggiano cheese

  5. 1/2 c olive oil

  6. 1/2 tsp ground pepper

  7. 1/4 tsp salt

  1. Tear basil leaves, Add basil, pine nuts and garlic. Process in blender or food processor until pureed. Add cheese, oil, pepper and salt, process until mixed. You may freeze the prepared pesto in ice cube trays, then transfer to plastic bags to store in freezer.
