  1. 9 egg yolks

  2. 1/2 cup superfine sugar

  3. 3 cups heavy cream

  4. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  5. 6 Tablespoons Grand Marnier® Topping:

  6. 4 Tablespoons freshly-grated orange zest

  7. 1 Tablespoon Grand Marnier®

  1. Preparation: Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Beat eggs with sugar until thick and creamy. While stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, add cream in a slow and steady stream, then mix in vanilla and Grand Marnier® . Divide mixture into 6 custard cups and place the cups in a 2-inch deep baking pan. Place baking pan on center oven rack and carefully pour in hot water to surround the cups in water 1 inch deep. Bake for 35 minutes until center is set. Remove from oven and pan. Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate at least 2 hours. Just before serving, blend orange zest with 1 tablespoon Grand Marnier®. Top each of the custards with the zest mixture. Yield: 6 servings
