  1. 1/2 lb 227g / 8oz Butter or margarine

  2. 1/2 lb 227g / 8oz Uncooked very fine noodles

  3. 2 cups 320g / 11oz Uncooked instant rice - (minute rice)

  4. 21 1/2 oz 610g Canned onion soup - (2 camp bells)

  5. 21 1/2 oz 610g Canned chicken broth - (2 camp bells)

  6. 1 teaspoon 5ml Soy sauce

  7. 1 cup 237ml Water

  8. 8 oz 227g Canned sliced water chestnuts - drained

  1. In large kettle, melt butter or margarine. Add noodles. Cook until lightly browned, stirring frequently. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well.

  2. Pour mixture into 3 quart casserole.

  3. Bake in preheated 350F oven for 45 minutes.
