  1. 3 can(s) (15 to 19 ounces each) white kidney beans (cannellini)

  7. spinach

  8. 2 tablespoon(s) olive oil or salad oil

  9. 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt

  10. 1/2 teaspoon(s) coarsely ground black pepper

  11. 2 tablespoon(s) minced fresh dill , or 1 teaspoon dried dillweed

  12. 1 package(s) (8 ounces)

  13. feta cheese , crumbled

  14. 8 piece(s) (about 1/3 16-ounce package)

  15. fresh or frozen (thawed) phyllo

  16. Nonstick cooking spray

  17. Fresh dill for garnish

  1. Drain 2 cans kidney beans; with potato masher, mash drained beans. Spread mashed beans evenly on bottom of 13- by 9-inch glass baking dish. Set aside.

  2. Wash greens in cold water; drain well. Trim off tough stems or ribs from kale. Coarsely chop greens.

  3. In 8-quart Dutch oven or saucepot over high heat, in hot olive or salad oil, cook 1/3 greens at a time, stirring often and adding remaining greens in batches until greens are just wilted. While greens are cooking, season with salt and coarsely ground pepper.

  4. Remove Dutch oven from heat. Drain remaining can of kidney beans. Stir beans into greens in Dutch oven with dill and feta cheese. Spoon green-mixture evenly over mashed beans in baking dish.

  5. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Place 1 sheet of phyllo (each about 17 by 12 inches) on top of greens in baking dish; spray with nonstick cooking spray. Continue layering 3 more times; then top with sprigs of fresh dill arranged in a pretty design. Spray phyllo and dill with nonstick cooking spray; top with 1 sheet of phyllo, pressing it against dill to show dill; tuck ends of phyllo into baking dish. Spray remaining 3 sheets phyllo and loosely roll each sheet into a rope, twisting gently. Arrange rope around edge of baking dish. Bake 30 minutes or until greens are heated through and phyllo crust is golden.
