  7. 2 cups chopped dried apricots

  8. 1 cup chopped pitted dates

  9. 1 can crushed pineapple in juice -- (8 oz.)

  10. 1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries

  11. 1/2 cup chopped pecans

  12. 1/2 cup raisins

  13. 1 1/2 cups water

  14. 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

  15. 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  16. 4 cups sugar

  17. 1 box SURE.JELL Fruit Pectin

  18. 1/2 teaspoon margarine

  19. BOIL jars on rack in large pot filled with water 10 minutes. Place flat lids

  20. in saucepan with water. Bring to boil; remove from heat. Let jars and lids

  21. stand in hot water until ready to fill. Drain well before filling. MIX

  22. apricots, dates, pineapple, cherries, pecans, raisins, water and spices.

  23. Place mixture in 6- or 8-quart saucepot. MEASURE sugar into medium bowl.

  24. (Scrape excess sugar from cup with spatula to level for exact measure.) Stir

  25. fruit pectin into fruit in saucepot. Add margarine. Bring mixture to full

  26. rolling boil on high heat, stirring constantly. Quickly stir in all sugar.

  27. Return to full rolling boil and boil exactly 1 minute, stirring constantly.

  28. Remove from heat. Skim off any foam with metal spoon. LADLE quickly into prepared jars, filling to within 1/8 inch of tops. Wipe jar rims and threads.

  29. Cover with two-piece lids. Screw bands tightly. *Invert jars 5 minutes, then

  30. turn upright. After jars are cool, check seals. *OR follow water bath method

  31. recommended by USDA.
