  1. INGREDIENTS AND DIRECTIONS:

  2. 2 all ready pie crusts

  3. 6 med. apples, peeled, cored, thinly sliced

  4. 1 tbsp. cornstarch

  5. 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

  6. 1/4 tsp. salt

  7. 3 tbsp. sugar

  8. 3 tbsp. butter, melted

  9. 1/3 c. Karo blue label syrup

  10. TOPPING:

  11. 1/4 c. brown sugar

  12. 2 tbsp. flour

  13. 3 tbsp. Karo blue label syrup

  14. 2 tbsp. softened butter

  15. 1/4 c. chopped walnuts

  16. Fit bottom crust into 9 inch pie pan. Fill with sliced apples. Combine cornstarch, cinnamon, salt, sugar, melted butter, and Karo syrup; pour over apples. Cover with top crust.

  17. 425 degree oven

  18. 45 minutes, or until crust is browned and apples are tender. Remove from oven.

  19. Combine topping ingredients; spread over top of pie. Return to oven for 10 minutes, or until topping is bubbly. NOTE: Put this on a dripping pan when baking the topping, it runs!
