  1. 1 tablespoon 15ml Paprika

  2. 1 tablespoon 15ml Seasoned salt

  3. 1 tablespoon 15ml Black pepper

  4. 1 tablespoon 15ml Red pepper - (crushed, not flaked)

  5. 1 tablespoon 15ml Garlic powder

  6. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Onion powder

  7. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Dry mustard

  8. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Celery salt

  9. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Chili powder

  10. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Cumin

  1. Mix ingredients, then bring appx 2 cups cider vinegar and 1 cup water to boil, add about 3 - 4 tbsp of the rub to the vinegar/water, and boil for about ten minutes. You may have to experiment with the rub to get it to your taste, but I this tastes most like what folks want when they think about Carolina based marinades. Store the rub and the marinade in the fridge. The rub will keep for months, I make the sauce as I need it.
