  7. 4 Qt Sliced Cucumbers

  8. 1 1/2 C White Onions -- sliced

  9. 2 Lg Garlic Cloves -- peeled

  10. 1/2 C Salt

  11. 4 C Sugar

  12. 1 1/2 Tsp Turmeric

  13. 1 1/2 Tsp Mustard Seed

  14. 3 C White Vinegar

  15. 2 Trays Ice Cubes -- crushed

  16. Wash, drain, and slice cucumbers. Add onion, garlic, and salt. Mix

  17. thoroughly. Cover with ice and allow to stand 3 hours in a crock.

  18. Remove garlic. Combine remaining ingredients and heat to boiling; add

  19. cucumber and onion to this mixture. Return to boil, lower heat, and 5 minutes. Fill sterilized jars

  20. 1/2 inch from top. Process

  21. minutes in boiling water.

  22. 5 to 6 pints
