  1. Chocolate Snow Cap Cookies

  2. 2 cups flour

  3. 2 tsp. baking powder

  4. 1/2 tsp. salt

  5. 1 2/3 cups sugar

  6. 1/2 cup butter

  7. 2 eggs

  8. 1/2 tsp. mint extract

  9. 2 squares bitter chocolate, melted

  10. 1/3 cup milk

  11. 1/2 cup powdered sugar

  12. Sift first three dry ingredients; cream butter, sugar, eggs and extract. Add chocolate. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk.

  13. Divide dough in half. Cover tightly and chill for 2 hours. Shape

  14. 1 inch balls and roll in powdered sugar. Bake at

  15. 350 for minutes on greased cookie sheet.

  16. These "crackle" during baking, so that the appearance is that of

  17. a "cracked" surface with powdered sugar on the higher parts of the

  18. surface.
