  1. 1 c Golden crisco shortening

  2. 1 c Lightly-packed brown sugar

  3. 1/2 c Granulated sugar

  4. 2 Eggs

  5. 2 1/2 c Quick oats

  6. 1 c All-purpose flour

  7. Or whole wheat flour 1 ts Baking soda

  8. 1/2 ts Salt

  9. 1 c Chopped nuts

  10. 1 c Semi-sweet chocolate chunks

  11. 1. Preheat oven to

  12. 375oF (190oC).

  13. 2. Cream Golden Crisco Shortening, sugars and eggs in

  14. 2 minutes.

  15. 3. Combine oats, flour, baking soda and salt.

  16. 4. Add to creamed mixture, beating on low speed or with

  17. 1 minute.

  18. 5. Stir in nuts and chocolate chunks or jumbo chips.

  19. 6. Drop dough by heaping spoonfuls, about 1 tbsp (15 mL)

  21. 375oF (190oC) for 8 to 10 minutes, or until
