  1. 1 teaspoon ground caraway

  2. 2 Tablespoons cayenne

  3. 1 Tablespoon ground cumin

  4. 1 clove garlic

  5. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  6. 1/4 cup fat-free Italian salad dressing

  1. Mix the caraway, cayenne, and cumin in a small refrigerator container. Peel the garlic clove and press it through a garlic press into the dry spices. Add the salad dressing and mix well. Store covered in refrigerator.

  2. Very hot! A little harissa goes a long way! Stir in a tiny bit while you cook, or let each person mix a little into their own portion of any vegetable or bean dish. Be sure to caution anyone who is not familiar with harissa.
