  1. 1" thick Italian salad dressing tomato slice,

  2. 1/2" thick red onion slice (or separated rings) mozzarella cheese slice salt and freshly-ground pepper

  1. Lay bread slices out flat on a cookie sheet. Drizzle on dressing (heavily for a soggy bread, lightly for crispier bread). Place tomatoes, onions, mozzarella, then S&P. Bake at 375° until cheese melts, about 15-20 minutes. Serve with fork and knife, or tackle it with your hands.
