  1. 1 cup all-purpose flour

  2. 3/4 cup sugar

  3. 2 tablespoons cocoa

  4. 2 teaspoons baking powder

  5. 1/4 teaspoon salt

  6. 1/2 cup milk

  7. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  8. 1 teaspoon vanilla

  9. 1 cup chopped nuts, if desired

  10. 1 cup packed brown sugar

  11. 1/4 cup cocoa

  12. 1 3/4 cups very hot water

  1. Heat oven to 350.

  2. Mix flour,granulted sugar,2 tbsp cocoa baking powder and salt in ungreased square pan,9x9x2.

  3. Mix in milk,oil and vanilla with fork until smooth.

  4. Stir in nuts.

  5. Spread in pan.

  6. Sprinkle brown sugar and1/4 cup cocoa over batter.

  7. Pour water evenly over batter.

  8. Bake about 40 minutes or until top is dry.

  9. Cool 10 minutes.

  10. Spoon into dessert dishes and top with ice cream.
