  1. 5 Garlic - (to 6), sliced

  2. 1 cup 93g / 3 1/3oz Unsweetend coconut shreds

  3. 1 tablespoon 15ml Cumin seed - whole

  4. 3 Dried red chiles - (to 4)

  5. 2 tablespoons 30ml Sesame seeds

  6. 2 tablespoons 30ml Seedless tamarind pulp

  7. 1/4 cup 59ml Unsalted peanuts

  8. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Salt - (or), to taste

  1. Roast all of the above ingredients independently with the exception of the salt in a dry skillet until they turn reddish brown in color. Grind them in a coffee mill and serve either dry as a condiment or serve with ghee.
