  1. Crock Pot Cuban Black Beans

  2. 1 1/2 cup black beans

  3. 1 lg. onion, chopped

  4. 1 lg. green pepper, chopped

  5. 1 Tsp salt

  6. 4 tsp garlic powder or 2 minced cloves of garlic

  7. 2 bay leaves

  8. 1 tsp pepper

  9. 1/2 cup pimentos, chopped

  10. 2 Tsp vinegar

  11. 2 dash Tabasco (more if you like a hotter flavor)

  12. 1 ham hock (or 4 strips of bacon, cut into 1/4" pieces and fried well)

  13. Cooked white rice

  14. 6 - 8 cup water. Boil on Hi for 10 min.

  15. Turn off heat, cover. Let set overnight. In the morning, place

  16. beans, about 1 cup water, and all the rest of the ingredients in

  17. 4 to 5 hours, or on low for 8 to

  18. 10 hours. Serve hot or cold, but best served hot over white rice

  19. with a grated jack cheese topping.
