  1. 1/4 tsp. ground Szechuan peppercorns

  2. 1/4 cup sesame oil

  3. 1/4 cup peanut oil

  4. 2 tbsp. soy sauce

  5. 2 green onions, thinly sliced

  6. 1 1/2 tbsp. finely grated orange peel

  7. 1 tbsp. minced garlic

  8. 2 tsp. peeled, minced fresh ginger

  1. Combine Szechuan pepper, sesame oil, peanut oil, soy sauce, green onions, orange peel, garlic and ginger in a large bowl. Let stand 30 minutes. Add chicken wings to the marinade and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

  2. Preheat broiler. Remove chicken from the marinade and place in a single layer in a large, shallow baking dish. Broil chicken 3 inches from the heat, 7 to 8 minutes per side, until cooked through, basting frequently with the marinade. Serve chicken immediately.
