  1. 1 1/2-pound pork boneless loin, cut into cubes

  2. 2 cans (4 ounces each) whole green chiles, drained and cut into strips

  3. 1 jar (20 ounces) thick-and-chunky salsa

  4. 1 can (15 1/4 ounces) whole kernel corn, drained

  5. 1 can (15 ounces) garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained

  6. 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)

  7. 1 cup chicken broth

  8. 3 teaspoons chili powder

  9. 3 teaspoons dried cilantro leaves, if desired

  10. 2 teaspoons sugar

  1. Mix all ingredients in 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker.

  2. Cover and cook on low heat setting at least 6 to 7 hours, or until pork is tender.
