  1. 4 lbs 1816g / 64oz Beef short ribs - sliced

  2. 1 Across bone 1-inch t

  3. 8 cups 1896ml Water

  4. 1 1/2 cups 355ml Water

  5. 2 cups 125g / 4.4oz Onions - coarsely chopped (large)

  6. 3 Green bell peppers - cored

  7. Seeded and coarsely chopped 4 Celery - coarsely chopped

  8. 1 tablespoon 15ml Salt

  9. 1 teaspoon 5ml Salt

  10. 1 tablespoon 15ml Black pepper - freshly ground

  11. 3/4 cup 46g / 1.6oz All-purpose flour

  1. Wash the short ribs and pat them dry with paper towels. Place the short ribs, 8 cups of water, onions, green peppers, celery, salt, and pepper in a heavy 6-quart pot.

  2. Heat over medium-high heat until boiling. Reduce the heat to simmering and simmer until the short ribs are tender, about 1 1/2 tsp 2 hours.

  3. Remove the short ribs to a bowl and keep warm.
