    1. 4 Spartan Apples

    2. 1 Juice of

    3. 1/2 Lemon

    4. 3/4 c Maple Syrup

    5. 2 ts Cornstarch

    6. 1/4 c Sultana Raisins

    7. 2 tb Butter

    1. Servings: 4 * The apples should be peeled, cored, cut into 5 rings.

    2. Arrange apples in a shallow baking dish; sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent darkening.

    3. Microwave covered at High for 4 - 5 minutes until rings are tender, carefully rearranging once.

    4. Pour off accumulated juice and reserve.

    5. Meanwhile, in a 2-cup glass measure, combine maple syrup with cornstarch until smooth.

    6. Add raisins and butter and juices from cooking apples.

    7. Microwave sauce at High for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes until sauce comes to a full boil and thickens, stirring twice.

    8. Pour sauce over apple rings.

    9. Serve warm or at room temperature over pancakes, crepes or waffles.
