  2. Make this in small amounts, 1 1/2 qt. at a time. Scald tomatoes, pare and chop. Place in a saucepan and cook until soft. Measure tomatoes, return to pan. Add equal amount of sugar (such as 3 c. tomatoes and 3 c. sugar)...Add 2 sticks cinnamon, 1-2 slices fresh lemon. Cook 2-3 hours over very low heat until thick. Can in pints as usual (water bath).
