  1. 1 c Butter -- softened

  2. 3 c Sugar

  4. 3 c Sifted cake flour

  5. 1/4 ts Baking powder

  6. 1/2 c Cocoa

  7. 1 1/4 c Milk

  8. --FUDGE FROSTING--

  9. 2 c Sugar

  10. 1/4 c Cocoa

  11. 1/4 ts Salt

  12. 2/3 c Milk

  13. 1/2 c Shortening

  14. 1 t Vanilla extract

  15. 10-inch tube pan. Bake at

  16. 325F for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan

  17. 10 minutes; remove from pan, and let cool completely on a wire rack. Spread Fudge Frosting on top and sides of cake. Fudge Frosting: Combine all ingredients except vanilla in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly; boil
