  1. 1 package (7 ounces) small pasta shells

  2. 2 medium tomatoes, chopped (1 1/2 cups)

  3. 2 medium green onions, chopped (2 tablespoons)

  4. 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped

  5. 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

  6. 2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil

  7. 2 teaspoons chopped fresh basil leaves or 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves

  8. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  9. 1/8 teaspoon coarsely cracked pepper

  1. Cook and drain pasta as directed on package. Rinse with cold water; drain.

  2. Mix remaining ingredients. Toss pasta and tomato mixture. Cover and refrigerate about 2 hours or until chilled.
