  1. 2 c. white sugar

  2. 2 c. brown sugar

  3. 3 c. flour

  4. 6 c. rolled oats

  5. 2 tsp. baking soda

  6. 1 1/2 tsp. salt

  7. 2 c. lard (no substitutes)

  8. 1/2 c. raisins, soaked a few minutes in hot water

  9. 3/4 c. pecans

  10. 4 whole beaten eggs

  11. 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

  1. Combine sugars and lard. Mix until creamy. Sift dry ingredients together. Mix well remaining ingredients. Shape the mixture into rolls 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Store in refrigerator overnight. Cut into 1/4 inch slices and bake at 350 degrees until done.

  2. Mixture will keep for a reasonable time in refrigerator. Slice off desired amounts and bake. The thicker the slice, the bigger the cookie and the longer it will take to bake.
