  1. 1 box chocolate cake mix

  2. 1 21-oz can cherry pie filling (I use Aldi's brand)

  3. 2 eggs

  4. 1/3 cup water

  5. 9x13" pan at

  6. 350 F for 30 minutes or in a greased and floured bundt pan for 45 minutes.

  7. Frosting

  8. 1 cup sugar

  9. 1/3 cup milk

  10. 1 Tablespoon butter or marg.

  11. 1 cup chocolate chips (1/2 a bag!)

  12. In a small saucepan combine sugar, milk, and butter or marg. Bring to a boil stirring constantly and boil for one minute. Remove from heat, stir in chocolate chips, stir until melted. Pour HOT frosting on top sheet cake, cool slightly if using on bundt cake. Cake can be hot or cool when frosted.

  13. What I like about this cake is I can make the frosting during the last few minutes it bakes, and then frost it right out of the oven. It tastes best if you let it cool for a couple of hours. I've served it warm and it didn't have a 'full' flavor.
