  1. 8 slices bacon , diced

  2. 12 ounces Polish sausage s, bias-sliced (3 cups)

  3. 1/2 cup chopped onion

  4. 2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour

  5. 1/4 cup sugar

  6. 1/2 teaspoon celery seed

  7. 1/2 cup vinegar

  8. 1/2 cup water

  9. 3 cups potato es, cubed and cooked

  10. 1 Tablespoon snipped dried parsley

  1. In skillet, cook bacon and sliced sausages until bacon is crisp and sausage is done; drain, reserving ¼ cup drippings in skillet. Cook onion in reserved drippings until tender. Stir in the flour; blend in the sugar, celery seed, 1 teaspoon salt, and dash pepper. Add vinegar and water; cook and stir until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Add potatoes, parsley, bacon, and sausage. Spoon mixture into a 2 quart casserole. Bake uncovered in 350° oven for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with additional snipped parsley and crumbled bacon before serving, if desired.
