  1. Caramel-Chocolate Pecan Pie

  2. 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell

  3. 1 cup pecan halves

  4. 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips

  5. 1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping

  6. 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

  7. 8 ounces sour cream

  8. 1/2 cup sugar

  9. 1 teaspoon vanilla

  10. 3 eggs

  11. unsweetened cocoa powder, optional

  12. Sprinkle pecans evenly in unbaked pastry shell; sprinkle with

  13. chocolate chips and drizzle with caramel topping. Set aside. In

  14. a medium mixing bowl combine cream cheese, sour cream, sugar and vanilla; beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.

  15. Add eggs, beating on low speed just until combined. Pour over

  16. 350 deg oven about 45 minutes

  17. or until center appears set. Cool on a wire rack. Cover and chill

  18. for at least 1 hour before serving. Sift cocoa powder over pie, if

  19. desired.
