Brown Sugar Pound Cake

    1. 1 c. shortening

    2. 1 stick butter

    3. 1 box light brown sugar, sifted

    4. 5 eggs

    5. 3 c. flour

    6. 1/2 tsp. salt

    7. 1/2 tsp. baking powder

    8. 1 c. evaporated milk

    9. 2 tsp. maple flavoring

    1. Cream shortening, butter and brown sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk and flavoring. Bake in greased tube pan at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
