  1. 1 pound(s) Fresh Ground Chuck , The Leaner the better. 90% or more

  2. 1/2 medium Onion Diced , fine dice the onions

  3. 1 package(s) onion soup mix

  4. 2 tablespoon(s) Lawrys seasoning salt , Lawrys is the best

  5. 1 tablespoon(s) Fresh ground Black Pepper

  6. 1 cup(s) Thin sliced sweet onions , Sweet and Thin, as thin as you can get them

  7. 1/2 cup(s) Drakes mix , any will do or make your own with seasonings and flour

  1. Mix onions and soup mix thoroughly in the meat. Add in 1 tbls of Lawrys seasoning and mix thoroughly. Ball up with a 3oz scoop or make generally small in size. Mix drakes with remaining spices. Toss onions in mix just before frying. (the longer they sit in the mix the thicker they become). Patty out burgers flat and thin. Grill to perfection. Fry onions and top the burgers with crunchy mix. Add thousand island if you want to get the best taste.
