  1. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Rutabagas

  2. 3 tablespoons 45ml Fine breadcrumbs

  3. 3 tablespoons 45ml Milk

  4. 2 teaspoons 10ml Melted butter

  5. 1 teaspoon 5ml Salt

  6. 1 teaspoon 5ml Sugar

  7. 1 teaspoon 5ml Egg - well beaten (large)

  1. Recipe Instructions Clean, peel and cube the rutabaga, and cook in boiling water until tender, then drain. Mash thoroughly; then add all the other ingredients. Put into a 2-qt casserole and bake at 350F for 1 hour. A pinch of cinnamon or ginger might be added.
