  1. 1 med onion, finely chopped

  2. 1 lb. fresh lump crab meat

  3. Salt and pepper to taste

  4. 1/2 cup salad oil

  5. 6 Tbsp. cider vinegar

  1. P lace half the onion in salad bowl. Separate crab meat lumps; place on top of onion. Spread remaining onion over crab meat. Season with salt and pepper. Pour oil, then vinegar over onion;

  2. pour 1/2 cup ice water over top.

  3. Cover; refrigerate 12 hours.

  4. Toss lightly just before serving.

  5. Makes 6 servings.
