  1. 3 Pounds green peas*

  2. 1/4ts Dry mustard

  3. 1/4ts Salt

  4. 1 ts Curry powder

  5. 2 ts All-purpose flour

  6. 1 ts Finely chopped gingerroot

  7. 1/4c Finely chopped salted peanut

  8. 1 lg Clove garlic, finely chopped (about 1/2 cup)

  9. 1 md Onion, chopped

  10. 2 sl Bacon

  11. 3/4c Milk

  1. + Directions : *substitute: 2 pk (10 ounces each) frozen Green peas. rinse with cold To separate; drain. add frozen With milk. Prepare peas as directed. Cook bacon in 10-inch skillet until crisp. Drain bacon, reserving fat in skillet. Crumble bacon and reserve. Cook peas, onion, garlic, peanuts and gingerroot in fat over medium heat 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in flour, curry powder, salt and mustard; remove from heat. Stir in milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantl reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until peas are tender. Sprinkle with bacon.
