  1. Pop the popcorn(you should end up with about 20 cups popped corn). Lightly oil the inside of a large bowl. Combine the popcorn, Corn Pops and peanuts in the bowl and toss well. Lightly oil a sheet of parchment paper, a wooden spoon, a 1/4 cup ice cream scooper and a pair of rubber gloves. Combine the sugar, corn syrup, butter, water and vanilla in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium high heat. Continue boiling, swirling the pan occasionally, until the mixture caramelizes and reaches 295 degrees on a candy thermometer. Immediately pour the caramel over the popcorn mixture and using the oiled wooden spoon, stir to coat. Quickly scrape the popcorn onto the parchment paper. Put on the gloves and use the ice cream scoop to form about 36 balls, pressing lightly with your hands. Place the popcorn balls on a lightly oiled sheet pan and cool completely. Store the popcorn balls in a cool place in an airtight container.
