  1. 8 sliced dried tomatoes or dried tomato halves (not oil packed)

  2. 2 Tbs. EVOO

  3. 12 oz. beef sirloin steak , about 3/4 in. thick

  4. salt and ground black pepper

  5. 4 square bagels or ciabatta rolls , split

  6. 1/4 c. mayonaise

  7. 1 c. mixed salad greens

  1. Preheat broiler.

  2. Place tomatoes in a small bowl; cover with a little water.

  3. Microwave on high for 1 min.

  4. Brush oil on steak; season with salt and pepper.

  5. Arrange steak on the unheated rack of a broiler pan.

  6. Broil 3 to 4 in. from heat for 12 to 16 min. or until desired doneness, turning once.

  7. Thinly slice beef across the grain into bite-sized pieces.

  8. Drain tomatoes.

  9. Spread split sides of rolls lightly with mayonaise.

  10. Top roll bottoms with steak, tomatoes, salad greens and roll tops.
