Peanut Butter Cookies

cup sugar

teaspoon baking soda

teaspoon baking powder

cup brown sugar

1 beaten egg

teaspoon vanilla

cup butter

cup peanut butter

375 degrees and prepare at least two greased cookie sheets. Mix dry ingredients together in one bowl (flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and brown sugar). Cut in butter to flour mixture and add peanut butter. Use a hand mixer to beat peanut butter into flour and butter mixture. In another bowl, beat egg and add vanilla. Add egg to peanut butter mixture and beat until smooth. Form dough into 1 inch balls and place them

2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Take a fork and press each cookie flat, then turn the fork and press again to create a cross hatch pattern on the peanut butter cookies. Bake cookies for 8 -10 minutes or until lightly browned. Allow cookies to cool before placing in serving dish or cookie jar.
