  7. 1/4 cup dried -- pitted cherries

  8. 1/2 cup brown sugar -- packed

  9. 1 cup crushed pineapple--don't dra

  10. 1/2 cup matzo meal

  11. 1 pinch nutmeg

  12. 1 pinch salt

  13. 1 pinch cardamom --

  14. 1/4 pound margarine -- melted and divide

  15. 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  16. 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  17. 1 tablespoon matzo meal

  18. reserved melted margarine

  1. Mix together all ingredients except the topping ingredients and only half of the margarine.

  2. Coat a terrine, souffle dish or individual ramekins with margarine.

  3. Pour mixture into prepared dish.

  4. Combine topping ingredients and spread over top.

  5. Bake at 350 deg. for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

  6. It can be prepared a day ahead, but bake the day you want to eat it.
