    2. 4 1/2 cups prepared juice, about 3 pound ripe quinces and 4 cup water

    3. 1/4 cup lemon juice,

    4. 2 lemons

    5. 6 1/2 cups granulated sugar

    6. 1 box Sure-Jell Fruit Pectin

    1. Prepare the juice. Core and grind about 3 pounds fully ripe quinces. Do not peel.

    2. Place in large pan, add water, bring to a boil, cover and simmer 15 minutes.

    3. Place juice in jelly cloth or bag. Squeeze juice.

    4. Measure 4 1/2 cups into very large saucepan.

    5. Squeeze and strain juice from 2 medium lemons. Measure 1/4 cup into the pan.

    6. Now make the jelly.

    7. Measure sugar. Set aside.

    8. Mix Sure-Jell into juice.

    9. Bring to a hard boil over high heat, stirring constantly.

    10. At once, stir in sugar.

    11. Bring to a full rolling boil and boil hard 1 minutes, stirring constantly.

    12. Remove from heat, skim off foam and pour into glasses.

    13. Cover with hot paraffin.
