  2. 1 1/2 ts Mixed pickling spice

  3. 1 3/4 c Sugar

  4. 1 1/2 c Cider vinegar

  5. 3/4 c Water

  6. 1 Cinnamon stick

  7. 2 pint Blueberries, washed and -picked over

  1. Tie pickling spice ia a double-thickness cheesecloth bag. Stir togetherspice bag, sugar, vinegar, water and cinnamon stick in a large nonaluminumsaucepan. Simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes. Add blueberries; simmer 3 minutesor just until berries become softened. Pour mixture into a large bowl.

  2. Cover and refrigerate overnight. To serve, remove spice bag and cinnamonstick and use slotted spoon to serve. If not using immediately, spoon intosterilized canning jars. Refrigerate.
