  2. 1 Tablespoon margarine

  3. 1/2 cup celery -- chopped

  4. 1 medium onion -- chopped

  5. 1 1/2 cups potatoes -- peeled and diced

  6. 1 cup water

  7. 1/8 teaspoon pepper

  8. 1 bay leaf

  9. 1 can golden corn soup

  10. 1 cup milk

  11. 4 slices bacon -- cooked and crumbled

  1. In a 3 qt saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and saute onion andcelery for 5minutes or until tender; stirring occasionally.

  2. Add potatoes, water, pepper and bay leaf. Heat to boiling, reduceheatto low, cover and cook for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender;

  3. stirring occasionally.

  4. Gradually stir in soup and milk. Cook uncovered for 5 minutes;

  5. removebay leaf.

  6. To serve ladle into soup bowls, garnish with bacon.
