  5. 4 lb Sauerkraut

  6. 1 lb Beef cubes

  7. 1 lb Smoked butt

  8. 1 lb Spareribs

  9. 1/4 lb Bacon

  10. 1 cn Tomatoes (large)

  11. 2 c Water

  12. 4 lb Cabbage head

  13. 1 lb Loin pork chops

  14. 1 lb Smoked kielbasa

  15. 1/2 c Onions (chopped)

  16. 1 oz Mushrooms (dried)

  17. 2 tb Flour

  18. Brown the beef, pork and spareribs in a large heavey

  19. pot. Put the browned meats and the smoked butt with 1

  20. cup of water into a separate, covered pan and simmer

  21. until tender, the pork chops about 1/2 hour, the butt

  22. 1 hour, beef

  23. 1 1/2 to 2 hours and spareribs

  24. hours. Pour off all the fat from the first pot and put

  25. in the sauerkraut and one cup of water. Chop the

  26. cabbage fine and add to sauerkraut. Cover and cook

  27. until cabbage is tender, about 30 minutes. Remove lid

  28. and keep pot on a very low simmer.

  29. In a third pan, fry bacon until crisp, then crumble

  30. into sauerkraut mixture. Remove most of the bacon fat

  31. and fry onions and flour until they just brown. Mix

  32. into sauerkraut mixture. Remove the meats from the

  33. second pan as they become tender. Cut away fat and bone and cut into small pieces. Add to sauerkraut

  34. mixture. Skim the fat off the meat juices and add to

  35. sauerkraut mixture. Take off skin from kielbasa and cut into slices. Add to sauerkraut mixture with the

  36. tomatoes. Salt, pepper to taste. Bring to a boil,

  37. simmer 5 minutes and serve hot. --
